You don’t need to “do SEO” for hours to make a difference. These five quick tweaks help Google understand your page and make your site feel clearer for real humans too.
1) Nail your page title (and keep it human)
Your page title should say what the page is about in plain English.
Think: Service + Location or Topic + Brand.
Example: Web Design for Therapists | digiDen
Keep it clear, not clever
2) Keep your URL tidy
Your URL should match the page topic and be easy to read.
Good: /webcare-growth-plans
Meh: /page-id-1287 or /services-new-final2
3) Make your meta description include the page name
That little snippet under your link in Google? That’s your meta description.
Include your page name and a simple reason to click.
Example: “WebCare Growth Plans for small businesses who want a calm, cared-for website—updates, support, and peace of mind.”
4) Optimise your images (size + format)
Big images slow your site down (and that’s bad for users and SEO).
Resize before uploading (no need for 4000px wide images)
Use modern formats where possible (like WebP)
Aim for “looks great” and “loads fast”
5) Give every image helpful text: alt tags + filenames
This is the easiest win that most people skip.
Alt tag: describe what’s in the image (helpful + accessible)
Example: “Su holding a notebook during an online studio session”
Filename: make it relevant before you upload
Example: webcare-growth-plans-dashboard.jpg (not IMG_4839.jpg)
Quick action step: Pick ONE key page on your site today and do all five. That’s it. Small tweaks, big compounding wins.
