How clear are you on your brand? (Honestly?)
You know your business inside out. But could you describe your brand?

Quick question. If someone asked you right now to describe your brand — not just your logo, not just what you do, but your actual brand — what would you say?
Most people know their business inside out. But the brand stuff? The tone of voice, the why, the feeling you want someone to get the moment they land on your website — that's where it tends to get a bit fuzzy. I say that as someone who asks "so, tell me about your brand" at the start of almost every project. The pause before people answer is very revealing.
Here's a quick check. Could you answer these without thinking too hard?
What are your brand colours? (Not "sort of orange and brown" — the actual hex codes.)
What fonts do you use, and do you genuinely stick to them?
How would you describe your tone of voice in three words?
Who is your ideal client — really, not just "anyone who needs what I offer"?
Does your website actually feel like you right now?
If most of those made you hesitate, you're in good company. A lot of businesses have got this far on instinct and honestly — that's impressive. But at some point the lack of clarity starts to show. Inconsistent content, a website that doesn't quite convert, a nagging feeling that something's off but you can't put your finger on it.
Brand clarity isn't a static PDF you look at once and forget. The work I've been deep in lately goes much further than a style guide — it's about building a proper foundation that joins up the strategy underneath your brand with the visual identity that comes out of it. Your North Star. Your audience. Your messaging. Your colours, fonts, logo — all of it working together, in one living document you can actually use.
I'm still developing this into a proper offering (not quite ready to share all the details yet 👀), but if the idea of having that kind of clarity — everything in one place, properly thought through — makes you exhale a little, keep an eye out.
In the meantime, if you're sitting there thinking "yeah, I've been meaning to sort this" — that's a good sign to start.
Drop me a message if you want to have a chat about it.
